The fearsome creature roams through caves,
Dead men's bones and stones to mark where they lay
Were his only companions
"Stay away from this beast, this object of terror," the people cry
"We won't be responsible for what he does unchained
(for he was too strong for the chains we put on him)."
Little did they know John was chained by something heavier
than the iron he ripped from his arms
Fueled by constant adrenaline from a sinister source not his own, yet inside him
Supernaturally strong, yet unable to live free,
unable to silence the maniac voices taunting him, shouting in his brain.
The mob branded John a source of terror, a lunatic to avoid
When John was himself terrorized.
